Mushing Austria organized the first snow race of the season in the weekend of December 15 and 16. Lackenhof was the location of the first meters in the snow. Lackenhof lays in Nieder Österreich and has a  live camera  so you can see the actual situation their. In the early Friday morning we left from Holland to Austria. After a long journey we came in our destination in the dark, surrounded by fresh snow.
	Once on location we’ve greeted our friends, which we haven’t seen since last season. Friends from Austria, the Czech Republic and Germany it is always to see these people after the summer in the snow. After parking the car and making a stake out it was time to let the dogs play in the snow after the long journey they’ve made. To see the dogs play and enjoy gives us a good feeling.
	For our pup Phoebe it was her firs time snow en she was immediately in het element. She played for hours in the snow, because she enjoyed it so much. She walked with the elder dogs in the deeper snow and disappeared frequently in the snow.
	Because of the recent snowfall it was a slow trail. The snow was to soft. Every team had this ‘problem’. On the second day the trail was much better. Lackenhof was overall a well organized race, this with thanks to the Mushing Austria team. Clik for the results........
